Photo Tip: Great Light and Simple Composition Yields Artistic Photographs

Photography Tip: If you are looking strictly for exceptional light, you can more often than not find a good photograph. Likewise, if you teach yourself to look strictly for the simplest of compositions, you can frequently find a compelling photograph. One Summer evening in 2014, good light and a simple composition came together as I was strolling a beach, at sunset, along the shore of Lake Superior.

Great light is present, a simple composition exists, and a photograph with artistic qualities is the result. I’m sorry to say a photo such as this may not appeal to the masses, but some will get it.  And I know I do remember the connection with Nature on that beach Up North and that makes it a valuable photograph to me…
